RURALITIES Project Board meeting

The RURALITIES Project Board held its meeting in Belgium on the 21st of March 2023. Partners from various countries attended both in person and virtually to evaluate the progress made so far and plan for the next phase of the project.

The meeting, which was scheduled for a day, took place in Brussels. Belgian partner INAGRO organized a farm visit and presentation at Agrotopia research center a day before. During the farm visit, participants had the opportunity to observe outdoor education in action at School@platteland, an example of how working and learning can be integrated into the authentic environment of an active farm. This approach can be replicated in other natural and heritage settings as well.

The RURALITIES project sought to highlight the potential for rural areas to foster sustainable development through various initiatives. The project aims to provide insight into the challenges and opportunities facing rural areas in Europe and to develop innovative approaches to address them. The project’s board meeting was a crucial step towards achieving these goals.

The RURALITIES project partners remained committed to working together to promote rural development and create new opportunities for communities in Europe.
